At the end of the course trainees will be able to:
•    Implement the procedures of safety and security.
•    Identifying the methods of choosing wood.
•    Perform the traditional hand skills.
•    Identifying the safe using of the equipment found in the workshops.
•    Practice the methods of preparing the surfaces and finishing.
•    Practice the methods of maintaining the wood machines.
Course Outlines:
•    Safety and security for carpentry.
•    The methods of choosing woods through the wood properties, the buying ways, and the methods of choosing the suitable wood for design.
•    The traditional hand skills.
•    Manufacture of furniture, methods of using and adjusting chisels, saws, abrasives and the hand tools.
•    The safe using of the mechanical and electrical equipment that found in the workshops.
•    Preparing the surfaces and finishing.
•    Maintaining equipment and tools and the methods of choosing it.
•    Soft skills.
